Privacy

Nothing here needs to know who you are.

The shelf

The front page collects nothing. No cookies, no accounts, no analytics, no trackers. If a visit counter ever goes in, it will be a cookie-free one, and this page will say so first.

Sorry, Traffic

• The name you type and your finish time go on that day's leaderboard, held in the server's memory. The board resets at midnight IST and empties whenever the server restarts. Nothing is written to disk.
• While you race, your position is sent to the other players on your route, live, so they can see you. It is not stored.
• Your browser keeps three things for itself: the name you last typed, whether you turned the sound off, and your own best time per route. Clearing site data removes all three.
• The share card is drawn inside your browser. Sharing goes through WhatsApp or your phone's share sheet. We never see where it went.

The Last Normal Website

• Nothing leaves your device. There is no server behind this one: the day's puzzle is built in your browser from the date.
• Your browser keeps whether you turned the sound off, your best time for today's daily, and your best endless run. Clearing site data removes them.
• The share card is drawn inside your browser, same as above.

Track Your Sunrise

• It guesses a city from your browser's time zone. That guess happens on your device and is not sent anywhere.
• If you tap "use my location", your browser asks your permission first, and the coordinates are used on your device to work out your sunrise. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Saying no is fine; searching for a city works just as well.
• Whatever address you settle on is kept on your device so the page remembers it next time. Clearing site data removes it.
• Sunrise times are computed in your browser from a list of cities the page downloads. No API, no lookup service, nothing that would tell anyone where you are.

Any future piece follows the same rule. If one needs more than this, its own page says so before you start.

Children

Nothing here collects anything from anyone, whatever their age, so there is nothing to ask a parent about. The one thing a child can type is a name on the Sorry, Traffic leaderboard, and that is gone by midnight.

Sponsors and other links

A sponsored billboard is a picture. Tapping it opens the sponsor's site, where their rules apply. Nothing about you is passed to them. The same goes for every other link that leaves this site — GeoNames, Creative Commons, X, LinkedIn: once you are there, you are on their page, under their policy, not this one.

Servers

The site runs on Fly.io in Singapore, which is the closest region they still have to India. Like any web host, it keeps ordinary connection logs (address, time, page) for a short while, for keeping the thing running. Your IP address in those logs is the only personal data this site touches at all; it is never looked at to work out who you are, never joined to anything else, and never handed to anyone. Removal

Changes

When a new piece needs something this page does not cover, this page changes first, and the date below changes with it. There is no notice and no mailing list; nothing here is worth subscribing to.
